still in pain after skin tag removal- when will it end?

Please help,
I had surgery on 1st March for skin tag removal as well as banding of 2 hemorrhoids and removal of a polyp.
Initially, I was in severe pain, which has decreased somewhat however I am still in quite a lot of pain (especially before and after BM), and have quite a large painful lump coming from what's left of the skin tag.
I really need to know if this pain will go soon by itself, or if I need to see a dr. (also, if i do need to see the doc, would it be my GP or the hospital dr does anyone know?)
Any response would be greatly appreciated as it is over a month now, and cn get really quite painful at work (in an office)
