I feel rather embarrased about this, but I decided to take an enema on saturday night. I didn't go out and buy one, but rather I used the shower hose on as low a pressure as possible with cold water. I didn't feel any immediate discomfort after the enema...aside from the expulsion afterwards. However, I'm now belching much more frequently and I feel a slight pain in my stomach. The pain isn't constant and it isn't severe at all. Is this just a temporary side effect from the enemea or should I get myself checked out A.S.A.P?

You probably got extra air up in the colon doing it this way. Next time use a glycerin suppository(not ducolax)or a commercial brand saline enema.
You need to prevent the constipation in the first place with a high fiber diet to 25-35 grams a day, slowly increasing it over a two week period and drinking at least 64 oz. a day or more of water. Making it daily routine to sit on the toilet for at least 30 minutes to move your bowels. If you eat enough fiber and drink enough water you should have no problem moving your bowels within 2-5 minutes of sitting on the toilet. I have 2-3 bowel movements a day when I eat and drink right the day before.
Well I went to see a doctor and they did some blood tests. They only thing they told me was that my WBC count was low. Does this mean that I have been worrying myself sick about having an perforated bowel? What would the symptoms of a perforated bowel be, and how quickly would I have become sick after the initial perforation? I still have abdominal pains and I feel like I have to burp a lot, but if it isn't a perforated bowel like I was afraid it was, then what could it be?

Abdominal pain and burping, "sounds like IBS"...
Your Dr would have known if you had a perforated bowel, stop worrying.
