Blood on Tissue after Bowel Movements

Lately after using the restroom and wiping, I notice that there's a little bit of blood on the tissue. The blood doesn't happen with every bowel movement but the majority of the time. There is a sore spot near the opening of my anus that I can press and a speck of blood will appear on the tissue I used to press the area with. The area never causes any other discomfort until I have a bowel movement.

I don't know if it's a hemroid or a fissure but I do remember going to the doctor whenever I was younger for having a hemroid.

Any input on what it may be?

I'm 22 yrs old, male.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Blood on Tissue after Bowel Movements

It sounds like you have a hemmorrhoid. I would try some over the counter treatments like preperation H to see if that works if not your doctor can prescribe a foam that works really well. A fissure is not on the outside of the anus, it is in your intestines if you have that, but you wouldnt have that speck when you press on your anus. Hope this helps! Thanks.

Re: Blood on Tissue after Bowel Movements

Could be a hemorrhoid, or it could be a slight tear on your anus, possibly from straining. It's generally not a serious problem, but it isn't fun.

One thing you can do is try a gentle stool softener for a few days. Then you hopefully won't be straining when you use the bathroom, then it can heal up.
