Unhappy Somebody help, please?

I'm pretty sure I've got a fissure going on down there. I used to think it was hemorrhoids, but I've never felt any bumps or anything like that, at least externally. I've always had rather hard, large-sized bowels and I think it's been tearing it up down there. For the past few days I've been bleeding while having a BM. Needless to say, I've been slightly freaking out. I've been having this problem off and on for a few years. I'm ready to get of it entirely.

I'm upping my fiber and water intake. And I'll probably take some Ducolax or something to soften my bowels. But I've been reading some posts on here about a cream you can use for fissures that's different from hemorrhoid cream? Can anyone tell me what I can use or where I can get it?

I could use all of the advice or help I can get!

Re: Somebody help, please?

So you probably know this but you want to get about 25 grams of fiber and need about 64 oz of water to maintain healthy bowel movements. If I were you, I would first see a Colon-Rectal Specialist to rule out anything real serious such as inflammatory bowel disease or worse. An anal fissure can sometimes be cured if it doesn't become chronic. I was able to get rid of my problem with a prescription for Niphediphine, it took 2 months, but it can be done. Sitz baths can be very helpful, but mainly you want to prevent yourself from getting constipated or having diarrhea. The treatment for hemmorhoids is typically something like Prep-H, but truly, according to my doctor, the only cure is to have surgery. Good luck to you and hope you feel better.
