Re: Change in stool, any insight?
[QUOTE=contrast;5113974]I apologize in advance for the nature of this question!
About 3 months ago my stool changed from normal to completely formless (not liquid like diarrhea) just a mass at the bottom of the loo. This lasted for about a month. Now it switches between loosely formed or not at all, but always heavy seeming, so much that I have to use the plunger nearly every day (which I literally never had to use before) Since this all started I have on occasion experienced some short-lived dull abdominal pain, and groin pain. other than that everything seems normal.
Does anyone have any insight, or am I worried about nothing?
It sounds like you eat a very high fiber diet and drink a good amount of water so your bm's might be more mushy but yet have bulk and heft to them. I don't think there is anything wrong. my bm's get this way from eating a high fiber diet too at times. If you have a low flow toilet, try flushing the toilet as soon as the stool hits the water especially if you have problems with toilet flushing and acting like it's going to overflow all the time. I live in San Jose,Ca. where it's required to have these low flow toilets. I have to flush the toilet every time stool hits the water otherwise it won't flush without acting like is going to overflow.
