Red face "Pooping" Problems?

Okay, so, I've been having extremely embarrassing problem about not being able to tell when "to go." For example, I'll just be sitting there, and I will seriously feel that I've pooped. Just there. And, it's the worst thing in the world, so I just freak out, and just try to use the bathroom like a normal person. I really don't experience any pain, or feel anything before it happens, it just does. I haven't had any surgery done anywhere in my body, nor I have colon, or liver , or bowel cancer, or something. Does anybody know what's wrong?

It sounds like possibly the internal rectal and external anal sphincter muscles aren't closing. You need to go see a specialists that deals with colon and rectal problems. Depending upon your health insurance carrier you may need to get a referral from your primary care doctor. Be prepared to have to a rectal exam by your primary care doctor first to see if he/she can determine what's happening. You may have to go through some humilating tests and procedures to figure out exactly what is goimg on. I hope you can get this resolved real soon !

Yes, get to a doctor. And don't worry about what he has to do that may be embarrasing. You want to get to the bottom of this (ha!)! I have not been able to "go" for the past 3 almost, 4 years! I have been to so many doctors. So far, no luck. But, I do know that it could possibly be your spine as well. On a couple of occasions, this has happened to me too and i didn't even know it happened until I went to the bathroom and surprise (!) there it was! But, it has only been a couple of times. My problem is having to remove stools digitally! Ugh! But from reading so much and going to doctors, sometimes your problem is caused from the nerves of the spine being impinged and causing incontinence. Are you having any problems/pain around L-4, L-5, or S-1? If you are, it could possibly be from that, too. You might need a laminectomy. Not for sure, though! Just possibly. I read it in a medical book that incontinence of bowel could be from the spinal nerves being impinged upon.
