I had an operation for a prolapse bowel and it has left me fecal incontinent

Has anyone experienced this

I had an operation for Rectal Interssception not sure that is the same, That is a bowel prolapse that has telescoped down inside itself. I have not had problems with incontinence, just the opposite I still have problems going. I am having more surgery on Thursday for a rectocele and pelvic floor repairs in the hope of a cure.

Hopefully someone will be along with more help for you.

thanks for your message,
I had a prolapse bowel but no incontinence.I also have diverticular disease. Now, since the operation my tummy rumbles and builds up to a crescendo,and I have no control at all.
I have a lot of wind also, which can be very embarrassing.
I am managing it most of the time by taking imodium or codeine phosphate.
But I still have accidents
I also spend hours sitting on the toilet.

I am becoming very depressed
