| Head Injury?
I got smacked in the head earlier today with a plastic toy (a mouse to a kid's laptop). It was a pretty nasty blow, enough to make me stop and say a few choice words. I didn't lose consciousness, or vomit, or anything really but think 'Man...that really hurt.' Now I have a pretty nasty bruise on the base of my skull, and a little bit of swelling in the area.
I'm really reluctant to go to the hospital for several reasons, high on the list being possible procedures, the closest hospital is kind of like entering the twilight zone and money. And, really, I don't think it's terribly serious. I only have experience with my kids' head injuries, though, so I'm not sure what to look for.
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
