since I was hit by car 10+yrs ago, w/ "mild" TBI & other injuries, I've had episodes of dropping like a rag doll--I can hear but am unable to move for 2-20 minutes. Initially thought Seizures but tests ruled out.

These episodes occur erratically, w/out warning; have had several in 1 day, or 1-2 day for week or so, then none for weeks....

I've sustained injuries--from bruises to concussions-- the head injuries are biggest concern . 6 mths ago I was struck in head when hydraulic lift on wheelchair van malfunctioned. The affects of that TBi became post concussive syndrome--cognitive & other dysfunctions, photophobia, phonophobia & more, and exacerbation of pre-existing chronic pain disorders including migraines & other headaches. and "drop attacks"...

Tests -CT scans, MRi-"normal". Neurologist said could be A-typical migraine, another said could be siezures but no test ordered.

I've taken anti-convulsants--Topamax, Zonegran & others-for migraine prevention, but since last TBi seem to have become very " sensitive" to meds & couldn't tolerate these or others like Cymbalta, Lyrica prescrbed for neuropathies & other pain.

I've heard Keppra has fewer side f/x but can cause emotional & "psych" issues. I've been emotionally volitile since last TBi & have Hx of allergic & adverse reactions to many meds....

I will be seeing new Neurologist & pain mgt. Dr.
wondering if any one has suggestions I may present-- experience w/ meds, or w/ these kinds of problems, "alternative" treatmt/options , etc.
I heard about Light Therapy--used for Pain relief & also a therapy called Syntronics--that can be helpful for brain injuries & other disorders....
