| Head Injury...what's wrong with me now?
Hi, I am new to this site. Two months ago, I had an accident at home. I fell and hit the edge of my dining room table very hard on the back of my head. Two weeks later I was diagnosed post-cuncussive with whip-lash.
Here are my symptoms:
Sharp, stabbing pain through my left eye and the left side of my head. The pain blinds me. It only lasts 30 seconds or less, but it wipes me out for the rest of the day. I have had to leave work for the day for having trouble counting after a bad episode.
Here are the triggers:
When I turn to look left, laugh, nod, speak loudly, get bumped, cough or bend over.
Those symptoms seemed to fade for a week or so, but suddenly came back.
Within the last two weeks, I have developed these new symptoms:
More of the above symptom with new triggers mixed with similar pain on the right side of my head and right eye.
When I lay down my head feels full of pressure and it hurts wherever my head is laying on the pillow, but it seems to hurt the left side of my head the worst. It also hurts if I lean my head on my hand or press on my head.
Is this all normal post-concussive symptoms? They are getting worse and I am kinda freaked. No nausea or vomiting.
