Headages from bump on forehead?

Hi, I hit my forehead on a gate when I was younger and for 2 or so years I have been getting headages most days. Its bump on my forehead that feels like bone or something. They awalys come from this bump area.

I do spend alot of time on computer so I know this could be a big reason, also when I wear these glasses that aren't strong at all... they barely do anything they just make things a enlarge the tinest bit, my headages leave quite abit. Anyway I'm 18 and I'm worried, what could this be and what should I do?

Re: Headages from bump on forehead?

Did you see a doctor after you hit your head? If not, and you're still having problems, it's not too late to have it checked out just to make sure that bump is not something that needs addressed. In a car accident last fall, I hit my head and suffered a concussion. I am left with a dent in my upper forehead above my left eye and numbness in that area. I, too, suffer from daily headaches that originate at the injury site. Using the computer for long periods will set off the pain, and also blurry or double vision. Even if the injury itself was not serious, you may have damaged some of the nerves in that area and the simple act of squinting at the computer monitor pulls on that damaged area and causes pain. Start with seeing your eye doctor and getting proper glasses. If that doesn't do the trick, see your doctor. He may order an MRI or CT scan just to make sure your bump is not something to be concerned about. Both are painless. Go do it so you can stop worrying.

Re: Headages from bump on forehead?

Thanks very much for your reply, I really should see the doctor but on two occasions I end up leaving with painkiller subscription which is really annoying. I'll try and book an appointment within the year.
