head injury "vet", but first post ( help!)

Hi, I'm new to this type of site and forget how things navigate, so I hope I can be taught how this all works.
I have had 4 head injuries. Since I don't remember the first , I don't really count it as one ( meningitis at age 3 ) . I have had experimental brain surgery for seizure control. My right temporal lobe was removed. The surgery was a complete success until a car accident 4 years later ( on life support 3 weeks) brought mild ones back. My third brain injury was a contre coup concussion in '05.
As a result of all these "hits", I have memory problems, especially visual memory . I wouldn't recognize my daughters if they came through the door. On top of having to ask everyone who they are, I also have to keep journals so I can remember what I've done during the day . ( I figure someday I'll want to look back and recall that I was productive in some small way ).
I could go on and on, but enough of this prose. I hope to get involved here and perhaps be of help.
