Post Minor Head Injury Last Night
Last night a friend's full length mirror that was glued onto a wooden board fell and the corner hit the back of my head. It really hurt and when my friend looked she saw my head was bleeding slightly. She applied pressure etc and it stopped bleeding within about 10 minutes and the cut wasn't very deep. I have had a headache since (it was about 12 hours ago) and I have an enormous lump where it hit me. I also have been feeling sick but these problems could be completely separate from the head injury. I don't want to go to A&E or anything because I really don't think it's that bad and I'm not waiting hours for them to just say "go home and rest, you'll be ok" which I think they probably would but I don't know what to do about my symptoms?

While I'm not a doctor, if you're not having vision problems, upset stomach, pain anywhere else, I wouldn't get too concerned. The scalp is very vascular, so a small cut or puncture will seem like a blown artery. Give it a few days, and you should be okay. You're right to be concerned, but unless you're experiencing other symptoms, it's unlikely there's permanent damage.
