Hey, I'ma 19 year old male from England (i.e SLLOOWWW health service) and have had constant neurological symptoms for over 5 months that are unexplained. To cut a long story short, 5 months ago i became very foggy/cloudy, with concentration problems. I was in a constant fog, suffered frontal, and behind the eye headaches. I then became v dizzy. This ended and I had wavy/shakey/jolting vision (like looking at world through handheld camera. This too subsided. I then started getting muscle twitches in legs/back and like muscle vibration feelings. This has also subsided now. I also suffered from electric shock like sensations accross my torso, and down left arm quite alot that lasted for over a week, and seemed to be triggerd a lot (but not always) by eye movement to the right. However, although all this seems tohave ended, I still feel like i'm living in a surreal world, as if im almost dreaming my life, and I gt horrible feeling in my head. I havent felt "normal" for the last 5 months. My eyes contantly feel tired and watery, my frontal headaches have returned, and I have problems thinking sometimes, lack of concentration, and get quick surges of weird sensations of thought. SO difficult to describe. Even though the wavy vision has gone, I still seem to get the sensation of my world being almost underwater a lot.
MRI = Normal
ECG = Normal
Multiple Blood/Urine tests = Normal!
Chest scan = Normal.
And I am sooooooo frustrated. I belive the 1st symptoms i described may have been an inner ear thing??? But why am I still like this??
Any ideas? CFS/ME? Posture/neck alignment problem? (im going to see a chiroprachter) as I have always had bad posture. I'm mainly worried about my thought problems, as althoug living in a surreal word is horrible, at least I feel like me, but I'm worried theres something worong with brain, although friends do not say I have changed personality as such, only that I constantly seem frustrated (over the symptoms) and depressed (cus of the symptoms).

I would NOT see a chiropractor until I first see a neurologist if I had your symptoms. The chiropractor could cause more harm than good because they want you to become a regular patient. They may not tell you the truth.

I have had symptoms like yours. I have seen a few neurologist. I have damage from neurotoxic chemical poisoning. I suggest that you examine your living and working areas for chemicals that could make you sick. It could be solvents, acids, fuels, LEAD, mercury and various other things. You have to ask yourself if your living conditions are normal and healthy. If you live in an old building, does any of your drinking water come through lead pipes? Are you exposed to molds at home or work?

Gather this information up and take it with you to your doctor's appointment.

I would agree that this sounds like a chemical reaction of some time...and from the sound of it you continue to be exposed to it.

In my 20's I discovered an allergy to beef (any beef) that has caused neurological damage. I used to think everyone woke up feeling groggy and weak, for example.

Yes I would see a neurologist, but he may not think about or test for food allergies. I dismissed the beef allergy as ludicrous, but sure enough the symptoms subsided in a few days after abstaining. Do some trial and error, and see an allergist.

i have some similar symtoms a yr and half ago i had a severe dizzy spell followed by an anxiety attack cause it scared me and ever since ive felt woozy like a swaying feeling that lasts all day and its so hard to deal with anymore i tend to think of it as a dream cause i know when i realize its real it scares me too much i read up on something called psychogenic illness no one around here seems to know much bout it no one can seem to understand me and its been so long no one seems to care anymore i just dont know what to do but i hope my insight helps u somehow

My first response to reviewing your post was to suggest omitting the trip to the Chiropractor. I have nothing against them but for the neck and spine, damage can be caused by their treatments particularly if you have a pinched nerve. Also, the neck should NOT be manipulated by a Chiro because there have been documented case studies where the manipulation tore the neck arteries! Not good! I agree, best to see a neurologist.
