Post weird symptoms

Hi,
It all started about 8 months ago with a ringing in my left ear. I also noticed tightness and soreness related to my neck. Off and on I had joint and back pain got so bad i went to the doc who cracked my back and neck , felt much better after that. The ringing continues and i noticed some hearing loss in my left ear. About a month ago ( i know sounds strange) it felt as of my right ear closed up and i had a hard time hearing . I went to the ent who confirmed some hearing loss and mentioned fluid in right ear. Now I still don't know whats wrong. The sides of my face feel a bit numb and i cant taste or smell things too well. I feel like im going crazy here. When i tell the doc my symptoms he just stares at me. W ell if anyone has any ideas or has experienced this please give advice. I am only 22 years old and this is a bit scary, thanks.

You should be evaluated by a Neurologist. There is a condition called Bells Palsy which can cause the numbness and also cause your estacion tubes which balances the pressure in your inner ear to misfunction which could prevent it from draining properly. That would cause fluid to build up. Bells Palsy is very treatable. But it just one possibility.

In the meantime, there are some things you can try for relief.

Benedryl can help dry up the fluid in your ear.

Chewing gum can sometimes relax your estaceon tubes, allowing your ears to drain. Keep a glass of water handy, it tastes pretty bad when that lets loose.

Sleep on your side with the affected ear up. That encourages it to drain.

Apply a hot compress to the affected side of your face to encourage your estaceon tube to open up.

Stay out of the wind or at least keep your ears covered.

Get an ear wax removal kit and use it once a week to keep your ears free of wax.
