Angry spacey feeling help

Hi, i am in the uk, was bad with anxiety few mnths ago had an mri in feb was ok,, had it becase of me side headaches, feels like cramp in the side of my head between eye and ear, spacey feeling, dizzy feeling etc they said it was anxiety when results came clear.. but all started again now but i am worse, and what ever i go to the docs for he says its all anxiety even my bad sinus affections was anxiety.. o my.. come on get real, any way ben to see 3 docs at the sergery and all said the same, but i am not happy with this, i know there is something wrong with me, had an mri in feb lasted 15 mins had no dye, my mate had one and hers lasted for 45 mins and she had dye, we both went for the same thing they found she has a tumour of the frontal lobe... i am so worried been 7-8 mnths now and i feel i am being puched away, so anyways cut to the chase..... how to i go about having another mri without being refered by my doctor, and if i wanted to go private ide have to be refered by doc to go private which will cost me loads of money, trvale 200 miles for nearest private clinic and also whats the bet my doc wouldve told him my situation (anxiety) i am FED up of being shrugged of.. any suggestions would be much appreciated ..

Thankyou and hugs to you all

Anxiety and stress causes tension in the muscles in the upper back, shoulders, and neck. This tension causes the muscles to tighten up and knot. These knots can put pressure on the blood vessels leading to the brain causing the dizzy spells, and light headedness, and the strained muscles themselves can pull and cause the headaches. Since one MRI has already come out fine, I would ask to be referred to physical therapy to have your upper back, shoulder and neck muscles checked out. If these muscles are the problem, it is very common that you will not have symptoms in these areas, because they are deep muscles, but a therapist would find the problem very quick on your first examination. I had your symptoms and many more, and they were all stemming from my muscles in my upper back and neck. Also, this is a very commonly overlooked problem when you go to the doctor. This is one thing they just don't think to check. I know, I spent months going, only for the doc to find nothing wrong and diagnose me with an inner ear problem, or a virus. Read the other posts here, and you will see that many people are undiagnosed, so this is one thing that should always be checked out when every test comes back fine.

Littlesheep 1999,

Glad to see your post, as I have same problem. Although symtoms different (I have been very ill for 4 years, including weighing less than 6.4 (not self inflicted), nausea, pain, etc.), I have been trying to get a doctor to help me for years. Iam also in the uk. But no one will listen. You know better than anyone if something is not right, so don't take doctors word for it. I have had so many wrong things said. I have tried changing doctors, but same thing happened. I have tried paying privately, but you have to get a gp's referral (no other way) - and my specialists have been dangerously wrong, putting my life at risk.

I say to you, do not give up. My test results come back normal too, but if those symptoms are there then something is causinmg them, and it will show up eventually. You have to fight these doctors until you get wot u need. Do not be afraid to speak up 2 them, as they are not afraid of what theysay to u. 2morrow, my next plan of action is 2 go to my local community health council (find yours in your phone book), and demand they get me a doctor that will help me. Unless they take you seriously, forget that doctor and move on to the next one until they do take you seriously. Please do not be fobbed off my doctors saying its in your head, or its pyshcological. It's not. Please post back and let me know what happens. I will do the same.

Good luck.

You might have meniers. DO you gt bad dizzy spells too? If you also get bad nausea you might just have a problem with your inner ear.

DONT EAT SALT FOR 5 weeks. If you feel better then its meniers(SP?). My brother thought he had a brain tumor but it was that. He cant eat salt as it triggers attacks, never know it might be worth it.
