I apologize for the long post but I am worried and I am posting to get any info anyone has regarding this situation my aunt is going through.

She began having seizures 20 yrs ago and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Surgery was done shortly thereafter to remove it-- during surgery she had a stroke because the doc dug too far into her brain. She was not expected to live. She did come out of it with her right side paralyzed and only weighing 80lbs. She was put on meds (Tegretol and Phenobarbital) to avoid seizures-- which worked until 1 1/2 yrs ago, she fell and hit her head. The next day she had a seizure. Since then her meds have been increased and she has had 3 seizures since then. She only weighs @ 100 lbs and shes on 13 pills a day. She is "out of it"; not herself. Its no way to live!! The doc put her on an additional med Lamictal just 3 days ago she started on it b/c she had a seizure a week ago. Well the Lamictal made her instantly feel shaky and sick. I sat with her yesterday just waiting for her to have a seizure she looked and felt awful and felt the electric feeling from foot to head. She said it was from the Lamictal. Her doc just wants to put her on more and more meds -- well is there any other way?? She is getting another MRI tomorrow, but the doc doesnt think he will see anything (She is switching docs by the way after 18 yrs b/c he seems to not care anymore

I just want to know what I can suggest to her to help her get through this. She doesnt feel normal. she has always been independent. She has always worked at least one job and she raised 2 kids alone. Now she cant do anything but sit at home drugged up. It is making me so sad and mad because i just dont think more drugs are the answer!!
