 post concussion syndrome
4 months ago i struck myself in the head out of anger and was extremely dazed. the syptoms are: impaired thought process, mildly impaired motor skills, mildy impaired speech fluency, mild numbness on the right side, depression, irritabillity, sexual dysfuncion, sleeping problems, and a bit of craziness (personality changes).
2 days after it happened i had a catscan that showed no visible concussion to the brain.. they guessed the effects would last just a few weeks but they've lasted 4 months..
Since i'm an arist w/ the hopes of becoming an animator, this is really getting in the way of my life.. i've already gone on 2 different medications to help deal with my anxiety over the idea of brain damage and my inabbillity to laugh.
and this seems relavent.. my emotions are all quite dulled, most notably my abillity to laugh or find humor...
since all this has happened i've lightly bumped my head few times on counter tops and what not and i'm worried about infiliction even more damage due to my brains vulnerable state..
Anyone at all familliar w/ what's happening to me?
(any information or feedback at all would be nice)
