An ENT helped me when I had a facial nerve problem and also when I had a clogged-plunger, presure type feeling and my hearing (presure) would cut out. It sounded like I was under water. When that happened and it was a long time too. He could check your hearing, ear pressure & facial nerve function.
When I had that ear fullness I had significant negative pressure in the right ear, he thought Eustachian tube dysfunction and gave me Rx for Flonase. I gargled with warm salt water to clear the postnasal drip in the back of the throat. When I yawned "it" redistributed and equalized the inner ear pressure (even if it was for a short time)
