twitches tremors spasms
hi, to everyone,
muscular twitches, tremors, spasms, cramping, feelings of internal vibrations, palpitations, heart rhythm ditubances, insomniia, agitation, sound sensitivity, cold sensiitivity and restless leg syndrom... are all symptoms of hyperneuromuscular activity.
A frequent cause of this is low magnesium levels. Magnesium is the electrolyte that relaxes muscle and slows nervous activity. Freequently, environmental stress can cause the body to lose magnesium. i have suffered from all the above symptoms. I was lucky enough to have a special test call a Red Blood Cell Magnesium test (not a serum magnesium test-not accurate), which revealed low magnesium.
I was given magnesium sulphate injections and took 300 mg of magnesium aspartate/day (Country Life Magnesium Potassium Aspartate. Vitamin D supplimentation helps maintain the magnesium level.
I have none of these syptoms presently. It is also important to check the potassium level, because this is frequently low when magnesium is low and vice versa. I also take a multi B vitamin suppliment, because many B vitamins work with magnesium to quiet muscles and nerves.
