Drug induced brain damage?
I used meth for about 4 years. I was heavy daily user also involved with manufacture and ingesting it as well so I was exposed to massive amounts of the horrible chemicals that go into it. I havent used in over 5 years but have had wierd symptoms that i went to a psychiatrist and was told my symptoms were likly caused by permanent brain damage from my past usage. I have been suffering from memory problems (I get lost when driving unless I plot out an actual course), hearing voices, tasting colors, dizziness, sharp head pains, the list goes on and on. I had a normal brain MRI with and without contrast about a year ago b/c brain tumors run in my family. So I am wondering how they can tell for sure that I have actual brain damage? She told me there would really be no way except for cognitive testing? Does this sound right? Any input is greatly appreciated!
