No tumour, but spine in brain?

My dodctor just rang me, she has the results and letter, I DO NOT HAVE A TUMOUR!!! i am...shocked actually,i dont belive it yet! but..I am also so happy and overwhelemd..i have been thinking i have one for a year!!!

The 'thing' my Neurologist isnt sure on, is it looks like a bit of my brain is trapped in my spine? or something like that...and he isn't sure how bad it is...if its causing my headaches etc. etc. and i wont hear from him for a while as he needs to have a few meetings about it...it sounds scary, but atm im just so shocked i don't have a tumour! thank you for all your messages, nice and not so nice..i am sorry for taking up so much room on these boards, but also i am so glad i found this board as you have all, mostly, been supportive to me!

I love you alllll xxxx

Re: No tumour, but spine in brain?

Hi Dizzymoo
I am so so HAPPY there is no tumor there! That is awesome news!! I'm celebrating right along with you!!
Your doctor seems to be taking good care of you, so I think you are in good hands. I hope that whatever that "bit of brain trapped in the spine" means has no consequence whatsoever in living your life. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope you'll post if you want to.
No one takes up space here! We all come here for advice and to help others if we can. And to give encouragement too. Just like you.
Again, that's awesome news!
God Bless
Faith

Re: No tumour, but spine in brain?

Hi Dizzymoo,

I am VERY HAPPY for you! When you find out more about the brain/spinal problem PLEASE let me know what you find out. I am still waiting for the follow up appt with my Neuro since my MRI. I have a copy of the report though. I says I have crowding at the foramen magmum but no significant herniation. Basically means my brain is starting to crowd the spinal opening as well. When do you see your Neuro next?
