Re: Brain Cancer

How is your Mom doing? I just lost my Dad to the same exact thing. He had an attack that looked like a stroke. After getting to the hospital a CAT Scan showed a tumor in the frontal lobe area that needed to be removed right away or he'd die from the pressure being caused by the tumor which was bleeding. They removed the tumor and sent it to the lab. The results were stage 4 Glioblastoma Miltiforme. After surgery he never came to, the scans that followed showed he was brain dead. We disconnected him from life support. The Doctors told us the survival rate for these tumors are at best 3 to 6 months after diagnosis. They can remove the tumor but it continues to grow at an unusually fast rate. It's the worst type of brain tumor to have. I'm so sorry to hear you are dealing with this. It was very sudden and very quick and very hard to deal with. He's been gone less than a month. I wish you all the best.
