how long does it take to read a cat scan

If test come back that it is something wrong. Will
Doctor call YOU IMMEDIATELY?

Hi Diann...the CT comes back usually right away...like if you have it done in the hospital they see the results right away.So it will depend on how much in a hurry your dr. is or isn't.I would think if it was something of an emergency the radiologist would inform your dr.ASAP.Good luck!Take Care~Scout

Hi Diann~

Just a bit of infor your you. You can pick up a copy of the CT scan right at the hospital for your own personal files. The report might take a day or 2 but the films are available right away.

Its always good to keep copies of any tests you have done. You never know when you may need them in the future.
