I'm having odd sensations, like cold water running down my back, what could this be?

Hi,

I am 17, and for the past week or so I have been having strange sensations that feel like cold water running down my back. When I touch my skin, it is not cold at all and feels perfectly normal. It usually starts in my upper back and runs downward, and occasionally curves up underneath my ribs and stops on my side. I had it once solely in the lower back however, and one time up on the side of my neck.

I've noticed that I have these strange sensations more often when I am hot, or near something hot like heaters or an electric blanket.

Really, they don't last too long, usually just a few seconds, and the longest was about ten minutes on and off and they don't hurt.
My mom mentioned that MS is sort of like that, and it scared me a little. I'm hoping it's not MS since MS typically starts in the hands and feet, and it would be rare to get MS at my age. Maybe I did I something freaky to my back as I dance a lot? Or, maybe, as I am hoping, it is just nothing and one of those weird things that bodies do?

Any help with this would be appreciated!
