how can a lumbar puncture detect vessel abnormalities?

my neuro told me that any problems with the blood vessels would have shown on my lumbar puncture, how would this show???

also im confused about the circle of willis/mra. i had mra 7 years ago which was fine but now wandering what area of my brain would habe been checked,im sure i have a problem in the back of my head/behind left eye area as thats where most of my pains are localised, even tho i do get horrendous pains all over my head. would that area have shown on an mri? am going to ask for an uptodate mra and poss mrv too. can these both be done at the same time????
hope someone can answer my questions as im in sooo much pain and at the end of my tether!!!! arrggg how can a headache be so bad and constant !!!! i bent over and my eye went black at the wkend,is this really a normal thing for a migraine????
