Wondering What To Do?
Hello, my name is Dana. About a year ago, I was having chest pains and went to Urgent Care where they did an ekg and discovered that I had a congenital heart condition called Wolf Parkinson White. I ended up having a procedure and getting it ablated, but afterward I kept getting migraines (ironically without pain, just vision disturbance). When this continued to happen the cardiologist ordered a MRI. After the results came back, she informed me that I had Chiari Malformation, but she knew nothing about it, but I could schedule an appointment with a neurologist to go over the results. Well I did that, and he seemed to think it was fine, and that many people are born with this and have no symptoms. Well I do have several symptoms, but I have always attributed them to a car accident I was in years ago. I since suffered headaches and would go to the Chiropractor after they went on for days, and that would usually help. Now I am wondering if the symptoms I suffer are from the Chiari.
I would like to find out if the Chiari is causing this. Do I just go to a regular Neurologist? Do I try to find a specialist?
