I'm new to the board and I just made a post in the eye section but I think I might have posted it in the wrong section since It's not really the eyes that are the problem anyway I went for a eye test last week and the otptician found something wrong in the eye photos so I got sent to a doctor where they said it was otpic nerve swelling and he then sent me for a MRI scan on thursday then phoning on a friday saying it wasn't a brain tumour but it was in the brain. I still don't know what the problem is yet but I've been stressing because i don't know if it's treatable or what it is. I'm 17 and scared of dying it wasn't what i was expecting I was getting migraines and dizzyness and I do have a poor diet where I use to drink a lot of fizzy juice and I don't eat much meat any advice?
Re: optic nerves swollen...something wrong in brain?
You need more follow-up from the Dr who got your MRI results. Do you have an app't or referral to specialist? If not, I would call his office, say you have questions on your MRI findings and need to talk to the Dr. about it. There was something that obviously showed up, but you need to know what that is and what to do from here. It is ok to call Drs and ask questions about your test results, diagnosis and plan for follow-up.
