I am a 31 year female that have been experiencing several neurological symptoms. I first have severe fatigue that makes functioning almost impossible. I have muscle spasms in legs, calfs, and feet that leave me almost disabled. Pain in lower back that radiates in legs. Severe weekness, sometimes hard to walk or pick up legs or even open water bottles. I have bladder urgency and stomach problems.
I had a MRI of Brain....that showed a few tiny foci of abnormal signal intensities in the white matter. Differential diagnosis "Early MS plague formation"
Spinal tap was normal
MRI T-spine there is a rounded hyperintense lesion on T2 and Stir weighted images in the T4 vertebral body.
MRI L-spine There is a large well circumscribed rounded lesion in the L3 vertabral body which is hyperintense on T1 and T2
I am waiting for yet another doctor appointment now. I can't work right now and can't get answers.
I was told I have Lymes disease then was told I did not have it. I have completed a 4 week course of Doxycline.
Can anybody please help? I am going crazy!

Im sorry serenity! I dont know what the mri means! If you are suffering so call the drvwho ordered theMRI again and ask to speak to dr saying exactly what you have said here. That you are afraid, confused and cant stand waiting any longer. Some drs want you to come into office to get results. If so, make appt. If dr doesnt understand results ask him if he could go to radiologist for his opinion in person or on phone. Or see if he can show it to dr friends in his field. You need answers, Try not to let your imagination get you upset. I would be interested in knowing what they say. If you need an ear feel free to talk to me anytime.God bless you.

Thank you so much. I did talk with my doctor today. She believes the lesions on my spine may hemangioma on my vertebrae in my L-spine and T-spine. This is a benign tumor, however, she cant confirm that is what it is. She is referring me to a neurosurgeon. Which I hope doesnt take to long.
The MRI of my brain she says shows plagues but that are non specific in nature and now she is referring me to a MS specialist at Johns Hopkins.
She believes my spine and brain are not related. I just don't know what to believe. I have been to so many doctors in this last year, I hope these will finally have answers for me.
Thank you for responding. I was scared nobody was going to.

Dear serenity80, sorry to hear about your problem. MS stands for multiple sclerosis. There is specific board for it under the heading "Brain & Nervous System Board" "Multiple Sclerosis" There you will find many knowledgeable people who are living with this disease and managing it, they will sure guide you and answer your questions.
take care. love
Thanks serenity for letting me know. Im glad that your dr can send you to Johns Hopkins! Will the neurosurgeon be there too? I understand being so sick of drs, but Im glad that you can go. Im sure that it will be fine or fixable. I will pray for you. If you need anything feel free to let me know. I would consider it my privilege. Hang in there!lol
