Hi, I'm sitting here at work with all sorts of questions going through my head and I don’t know where to start. My mom was diagnosed with a "mass" on her brain a week ago. This was shocking and we had no idea. 72 hours ago she had surgery to remove the metastatic tumor. They removed a lot of it but not all. Also, they haven’t found where this originated. My moms complexion is great and I haven seen her face look this good in years. I'm really worried about the state she is in now and had much higher expectations. She is just laying there with very little movement. They had to strap her arm down b/c she would just shake her hand and try to pull her cords out. I would hold her hand and she would rub and scratch it. Also, yesterday they had to feed her through a feeding tube. She will open her eyes if I ask her to and can answer some questions with really slurred speech. I'm just hoping someone can give me some info that has been through this. What can I expect short term/long term? Just 2 weeks ago we were having a nice dinner together and now this. Everything has just happened so fast. Any info, advice, or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
