LITTLE BACKROUND-hUBBY 75 YEARS YOUNG-hAD COMPLETE kIDNEY REMOVAL 3 YEARS AGO-nOW IT HAS REOCCURED IN THE BRAIN-OR i SHOULD SAY fOUND IT IN THE BRAIN-7 SPOTS-qUESTIN ANY IDEA ON TREATMENTS?

Sorry Karen, but I can't remember all the details. Was the kidney removed due to cancer? I don't really know what to tell you as to what to do. I wish you the best. Please keep us posted on whatever the doc has to say.
Hey Did not relize that I posted yesterday-All a blurrrr-So sad-Yes they removed his right kidney three years ago-It was completley full with the cancer-Now they say he has 7 lesions(fancy word for tumors) one being on his brain stem-They are serching for it in the liver and the lungs so they can do a biopsey-He is dissorentied somewhat and After talking to a few people who have gone through radiation therapy-Well I dont think we will go down that route-Doc said it would help with the symptoms but not prolong his life-And the side effects-NO WAY-I want quality even if he does not understand I am even there.And right now he is in NO pain so why would I create pain for him-So when he is ready it is time to come home-Think I will start the process tommorrow.

has any of his docs happened to mentioned the gamma knife therepy to you or him? my uncle has cancer in his brain with many seperate lesions that were found about a year ago? at this poiint he has had five seperate gamma treatments at the U of MN here where we live and five of the like nine spots(only the five have actualy been treated so far with the gamma and totally successfully)are completely dead now. they are now going to be moving on to the other four areas and hopefully get the same good results. he is also doing the chemo thing too,but his doc at the U truely believes the biggest factor in these areas being successfully out of the picture now it solely more due to the gamma itself. just something for you to really look into and fully research as far as a really solid treatment option for your hubby. my uncle is doing soo well right now. he would have to be at least late 60s early 70s by now too. just something to bring up and really look into that does have a really great track record. i do hope you can find a good solid treatment and good docs to help him. please keep us posted, Marcia
Thanks But we are past the point of help-And Gamma will not work cause it is also in his remaining kidney and in the liver-We are bringing him home monday-We are at the stage of comfort-
