Can normal oxygen (like the tanks some use) help brain damage?

Long story short my dad had surgery remove two tumors from his brain (cerebellum, spelling?) and had 2 weeks of whole brain radiation afterwards.

Its been a couple months now and recently he's been sleeping alot....like alot even during the day. Ive read that some brain damage can result from radiation and what Ive read sounds kind similar to him.

About damaged blood vessels and not enough oxygen going into the brain. Ive read that something called Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is used to repair cells.

His doctors have not officaly diagnosed him with any brain damage and his 2 recent CT scans have come back fine but IMO I think thats what it is. We dont get to see the neurologist again until about a month from now so I dont know who to ask.

We still have some oxygen tanks and the machine you plug to the wall from when he was first brought home but his oygen levels without them have been fine so they told us we didnt have to use them anymore.

Could using the normal oygen tanks/machine help him be more alert and awake again? Probably not but I thought Id ask to see some opinions on the matter. Thanks anyway.
