Help reading my brain MRI report

I just got my MRI report, i was wondering if someone could help me understand it before i go to the neurologist.

FINDINGS:
Focal abnormal signal intensity area is seen in left parietal region. It appears low on T1 weighted and high on T2 and FLAIR images. This could be due to focal encephalitis/focal injury. Would recommend contrast study and clinical correlation for further evaluation.

Hypertrophy of left inferior turbinate with slightly deviated nasal septum.

Rest of the remarks are normal. My concern is that i have never had any sort of head injury, and if it is encephalitis it continues showing symptoms throughout, however i feel normal sometimes and then extremely sick which includes headaches, extreme fatigue, weakness, light headedness, nausea, black outs, dizziness, confusion, disconnected feeling, muscle twitches and some memory problems.

Could this abnormal signal area be because of brain tumour as the report says 'further tests and evaluation'? I just want to know if there is a possibility it can be a tumour.

Thanks

Re: Help reading my brain MRI report

I went to the neurologist and he has ordered an MRA with contrast. I am happy for the fact that it rules out the possibility of a tumour. Is it true that MRA with contrast does not show tumors?
