Hello. Any help and I would be eternally greatful.
I'm new here, but not new to what I have been dealing with daily now for over 2 years.
I'll start with how it started. In August of 2008 Everything was great. Life was perfect. I went rock climbing, fishing, hunting, I had no sicknesses of any kind outside of the occasional headache.
A day back , I am out with my friends seeing the movie Funny People. Midway through the film, I got a headache like no other. The worst headache I have ever had before in my life. I left midway through the movie and my girlfriend drove me home. I got a shower laid down, took two Tylenol and went to bed. I awoke to a nightmare. The next morning when I awoke I had a weird sort of lightheaded feeling. It was a spaciness feeling that I wasn't all the way here. Like I was kinda still dreaming. That was only the beginning...........I went to work, came home and the symptoms were still there. Super bad lightheaded. Then I had a super bad panic attack, I couldn't breathe and was rushed to the emergency room. I was stuttering, slurring words, dizzy, twitching, just out of it. They diagnosed me with panic attack, gave me a CT Scan and sent me home.
Next day, my symptoms became chronic, and has been chronic to this day...
These are the symptoms I wake up with and deal with on a daily basis some worse then others...
Dizziness. (all day)
Lightheadedness. (all day)
Poor concentration(all day)
Spasms in head
Spasms in arms and legs
Slurring of words(all day)
Clogged Ears(all day)
Note. I experience each symptom every day not all day, but at times. I noted the ones that are all day.
Up until recently headaches haven't been an issue, they just started to give me issues as I have been dealing with them on a more regular basis. Very tight pains on the top of my ears, and behind my head.
Well I don't really have one....I have seen...
I have had 3 MRI's. 2 CT Scan. Ct of Temporal Lobes. Xray of sinuses. All Negative. 1 MRI with contrast negative.
Numerous blood tests with fasting.
Doctors have all told me....STRESS. I am not stressed. I've never been stressed. BUT, I went along with it. I have taken...Valium, Zanax, Lexapro, Zoloft, and Prozac all in heavy doses for 4-5 months at a time different times. No results. I actually felt worse.
Right now, I am currently taking Topamex for headaches which doesn't work, and Valium once every two weeks.
My question....is it possible I could still have a brain tumor? Even with all the negative testing?
I'm so sorry for what you are going through. You list the Drs you have seen but don't mention an endocrinologist or if they have done a complete panel of hormone tests. I had a large pituitary tumor that showed up on an MRI and never had your symptoms but I have heard of others that have tiny tiny tumors that don't show up on an MRI but play havic with the hormones. I hope this might help. You are in Corona, is that Corona CA? If so you are in a great location for medical help if it does turn out to be pituitary.....St Johns in Santa Monica, UCLA, etc. Diana
Hi i am also getting the same symptoms but not as bad as yours, i had a mri scan on my brain a year ago now and they wanted to do it due to my deja'vu which im still getting... preminitions in a way..
iv been sick twice with my migraines and i too suffer on a daily basis... i am also a li-fraumeni paicient which is cancer of the tissue also i have not been diagnosed with brain tumor they did say scan was fine but there was white specs on my brain near top of the nose which makes my nose bunged up and suffer from sinus... and also they said stress as i was pregnant.,. my daughter is 6 months and she is as good as they come you wuddnt think a baby was in sight shes so quiet unless she hungry lol so i cant be stress.
my symptoms are
Fuzzy noise in my ears - as if iv been on a plane all day
Flashing lights - especially bright blue
pain in my joints
i wear glasses but only for reading and driving at night but my eye sight has got worse so im told
i shiver but as i got raynards disease it could be due to that

when i feel sick and is being sick i sweat like theres no tomorrow, get blackness like im fainting , my ears get a ringing noise , my chest tightens , and i throw up but my ears go back to normal afterwards
my uncle ian died at 10 with a brain tumor, tumour connected with the spine.
my mother had a brain tumor but survived it but she said she thought it was the mother of all hangovers, that feelin when u havent slept etc , my mum eventually died 3 years later but from bone cancer.
me and my uncle jeremy especially suffer from the most horrendous headaches/ migraines, i end up sleeping in a dark room with a flannel on my head and take anadin but it dont work.
what im saying is, your not alone & wish you luck in the future.... i would definately consider gettin tested for li-fraumeni but only if any of your family have had cancer in brain, breast , bone etc as its a hereditry gene.
