New here....
I was able to get my MRI results today from the hospital while the prescribing doctor is on vacation and my primary doctor who was copied on the results had a death in his family so he is out of the office until next week. The problem is the hospital said they are not allowed to explain the report to me. Please help! The report is below.
MRI BRAIN WO+ WITH GAD
CT scan of the pituitary gland with and without gadolinium. Post gadolinium MRI scan of the brain was also performed.
Multiplanar multisequence MRI scan of the pituitary gland was performed with and without gadolinium. Post dynamic MRI scan of the pituitary gland was performed.
Subsequently post gadolinium MRI scan of the brain was performed.
The pituitary gland is normal size. The pituitary stalk is midline. The sella is normal in size. Partial empty sella is seen.
On the post dynamic MRI scan of the pituitary gland no focal microadenoma is seen within the pituitary gland.
The cavernous sinus is normal. Both optic chiasm were normal. Visualize sphenoid sinus was unremarkable.
Impression: No evidence for a micro or macroadenoma of the pituitary gland.
Ok, by the "impression" I am assuming there is no tumor? However, what do the colored items mean?
Thank you so much for the help!
