Some ADVICE FAST please! :(

Hi to anyone reading... Im 23, male, in good shape, never hit my head hard etc.

From last November not sure when/why it started exactly but ive had a headache/pressure constant, every second of the day. Along with the pressure i have the feeling i need to pop my ears all the time, fatigue and general tiredness (bags under eyes when didnt before), i find myself always staring into nothingness like im not really connected properly?, my vision is sorry of fuzzy like when you look at a bright light them look away but i have this all the time, ringing in my ears and dizzyness, get tingly feelings in hands and feet... wow thats a pretty long list when i type it out

I have no nausea or sickness, ever.

So i went to the doctors and explained and i went for a CT scan which came back fine, i got a second opinion also fine.

Now 9 months on from then i still have all the same symptoms but all worse and its pretty much ruining my life, ive been back to the doctors numerous times, tried all the sinus reliefs, stopped pain killers, tried amitriptyline, nothing has helped.

Ive asked for a MRI cause im worried sick but the doctors said cause i had a CT 9 months ago there is no need for a MRI which i think is utter rubbish cause something is clearly wrong with me. So im currently waiting to see a Headache specialist but thats not til October and im literally going out of my mind with worry that this pain has developed into a brain tumor of some sort. The main worry is because of the fuzzy/double-vision.

Can ANYONE shed some light into other possibilities apart from a tumor?

Thankyou

Re: Some ADVICE FAST please! :(

First of all I think you deserve to have an MRI. There are very small tumors, often in the pituitary gland that can be missed on CT, and they cause visual disturbance. If you have ANY hormonal problems, I would ask Dr for a pituitary panel on blood, and if anything comes up abnormal he will be more likely to do MRI. Some of your symptoms sound allergy related, like having to pop your ears. I would go on an antidrowsy antihistamine like fexofenadine (allegra) daily to see if that helps. Also, higher than usual spinal fluid pressure can occur for a variety of reasons that can cause head pressure and visual disturbance. Your Dr or an eye Dr should look at your retinas for signs of swelling of the optic nerve. Lastly, an MRI would help to rule out MS, since you have tingling in hands and feet and double vision. So there's 2 reasons for doing one. You might call the headache specialist and beg/plead to get in earlier in a cancellation spot perhaps, or go to someone else that you can get into sooner and ask for an MRI. Maybe another Dr would be more accommodating. Good luck. It is awful to be told no when you are worried and want something done. PS the pituitary tumors are benign and don't usually require surgery unless large.

Re: Some ADVICE FAST please! :(

Hi there firstly thanks for replying to me

I forgot to mention ive had a extensive amount of blood test taken which all came back completely fine and normal. Also forgot to mention that my mouth/jaw cracks or pops when i move it open or left to right.

I will get some antihistamine's tomorrow and see how they go.

I went for a eye test at the opticians and he said i had perfect vision but didnt examine my retinas but my doctor did look into them with something and said i had smooth ?eye plates? and they would be rough if i had a brain tumor.

Im just completely down with it and i feel like theres nothing i can do to help myself because even if i goto the headache specialist and he does book me for a MRI scan its another 6-10 week wait, i could be dead by then?

This is going to be a pretty grim question but if it was a tumor would these conditions just keep getting worse til one day you just die or would more things begin to happen?

Thanks again for talking to me

Yes with tumors things would worsen, plus more things would start to happen-you wouldn't just die, so please don't worry about that. I would though call to see if your appt can be moved up sooner. The worst that can happen is they say no. Maybe they can put you on a cancellation call list.

Re: Some ADVICE FAST please! :(

Have you considered/been tested for TMJ? It's a jaw problem. Look up the symptoms... they sound VERY similar to what you're going through.
