| Re: brain cyst
Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. Did the Doctor mention 'Arachnoid Cyst' to you at all? If he did then Basically these are non cancerous cysts that develop on the brain either from birth or are acquired from head trauma. the cysts are full of spinal fluid and are sometimes removed or like in your daughters case are left alone. Sometimes they can grow quite large-mine is 40x30mm and ive heard of even larger! There are also colloid cysts which are small and are full of a gelatine type of substance, I have one of those too. If they don't cause any symptoms then they like to leave them alone and just monitor them.Unfortunatly for me they are,so it looks like I'll be needing surgery. Thats the basics but if you want me to tell you more then let me know.
Please talk to your Doctor again if you're not sure about anything. Its what they're paid to do.I hope your daughter gets better.
