Worried about my brain

My symptoms started with congested sinuses. My ears were blocked & had incredible pressure in one but it could move to the other & vertigo, no headaches, no pain, no vision issues.....i think my balance is actually fine too. it's perceived balance by my ears/head.Tried antibiotics, did nothing. Went to an ENT who tried Prednisone (my sinuses were very swollen). It didn't do much... Still have all the same symptoms but maybe the sinuses aren't quite as bad. Still have the vertigo feeling though & it is 24/7 now. Doc now wants to test my inner ear, balance & hearing & depending on what that shows, would order an MRI. I am scared to death at this point. He did say he thinks that these tests will show some kind of inner ear "thing" (hydrops, Meneiers or vestibular migraines). It has been almost 2months of this though with no relief. I am very afraid that there is a tumor or something at this point. It has been very hard to function with all of these symptoms let alone worry over a brain tumor (which my husband thinks is ridiculous).
Any thoughts you may have are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Worried about my brain

Hi Michelle, I do have Meniere's Disease and have had for 20+ years. When it flares I have pressure and/or ringing in my ear (usually one ear, left for me); then the vertigo kicks in which will of course cause the nausea and possible headaches. When the flare up is coming to an end I will sleep for many hours. I treat it with Serc which is available by prescription and bonamine which is otc ( not in canada tho). My flare ups can last for a week or more and I know it can vary for everybody. Hope this helps a little. I can't coment on the possibility of a brain tumor, but, would start with the little things first. LOL
