my baby is 14weeks old and i'm doing full time breastfeeding, and eating very sensibly but instead of losing weight as i expected,i'm gradually gaining instead. pls help,as i really want to lose as much as,20 pounds.
I'm sorry to tell you this but, with all the calories you need you won't necesaraly loose weight. You are being very sensible.
Your child won't get satisfied if you don't keep your intake up. Best advise is to eat sensibly,
It is thought that you loose baby weight by breastfeeding - I didn't! I just ate sensibly and left dieting until I had finished breastfeeding. I found a baby helped me keep up the exercise, I always make sure I go out (pushing pram good exercise) Just watch when you wean that you don't finish your babys food! It won't be long and then you can combine breastfeeding and weaning and then you can downsize your calories.
I didn't lose weight breastfeeding either. In fact, I didn't lose the baby weight for 18 months. Sorry, it works for some, but not others. Your baby's health is most important, so please keep eating right. Don't worry. Once your baby is a toddler, you'll be chasing after them so much, you'll lose it!
