fractured femur and driving - Burns & Injuries Message Board

My 22 old son has a transverse fracture of his left femur. He has had a steel rod placed down the shaft surgically. He wants to start driving again. Does anyone have a rough estimate of time of when he can start driving again? It has been 3 weeks since his accident(collided with a friend to catch a fly ball ina pick up baseball game).

I'm curious when he started driving again. I fractured my tibia in two places and have been driving now for a few days. However, I waited until my doctor said I could go to PT before starting to drive.
