| ankle joint injury
about five months ago i under rotated a flip at tumbling and jammed my ankle.
it wasn't until three months later that i go it checked out (no break they said) i was advised to do phsyical therapy but didn't start it until a month later. let me tell you, for the four months i was working on it before i started p.t. i was in extreme pain anytime i landed flips with a flexed foot.
i've been doing p.t. for about a month now and am supposed to do it a couple more weeks. if it's not better then (the pain has lessened a ton, but i still feel pain putting pressure on it flexed) i'm supposed to get an MRI.
they told me i jammed it, got a joint contussion, and probably damaged the cartilage lining.
does anyone have experience with this? what was your treatment? i have been out of tumbling over a month and can't wait to get back into it, i'm worried i'll always been stuck with this pain.
