Liquid Nitrogen burns

I was treated for a skin disorder a few days ago using Liquid Nitrogen on the surface of my skin. It's been 3 days now and the reddness hasn't gone down, is this normal? How long does it usualy take a Liquid Nitrogen burn to go away, because if you ask me, the red marks left over look alot worse then what the skin condition actually looked like before.

Oh, and it's bloody itchy as hell! Is that normal as well? is that just the scabbing process or what? Thanks

Re: Liquid Nitrogen burns

The doc used liquid nitrogen on me to burn off a wart. It looked like someone had held a lit cigarette on me. It took about two weeks and now you cant even see it anymore. No scar or anything. You just have to resist scratching it off!

Re: Liquid Nitrogen burns

Yeah, the spots are itchy as hell, I wasn't sure if it was an alergic reaction or if it was just getting worse, but they're red as hell though.

Is it safe to put polysporin and a bandage over the burns, will that speed up the healing process any quicker or is that just a waste of time?

Re: Liquid Nitrogen burns

Um... I dont think you would want to put cream on it to make it heal faster, because the point of burning it was to kill that skin. Lol. So, I think that might be counter productive. But thats just what I think. A bandage should be fine.
