Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Burn

I was putting Benzoyl Peroxide on my chest to help my acne and after a week nothing was happended. I decided to try putting some extra on and when I woke up in the morning The area was extremely burnt. It it about baseball size and is red/white with blisters. In general the area is extremely flakey and I am experiencing some pretty bad pain. What can I do to help this right away so that I do not devolp permanent damage. I'm gettting into the doctors on Wensday but I fear that is too long. Judging by internet standards it is probally a second degree burn or possibly first.

Re: Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Burn

10% benzoyl peroxide has NOT been shown to be any better than 2.5% but has many more side effects.

Use 2.5% BP to wash with salicylic acid on actual affected areas. It will be better on your skin and work better than 10%

If you have >25 zits or they are open you should see a Physician/Dermatologist for treatment
