Fell on steps...hit face on carpet hard...have bad burn and abrasion
Hi...4 days ago, I fell down the steps, and hit my face hard on the carpet below. I have a large burn/abrasion just under my left eye. It is about the size of a quarter. It burns constantly and is still oozing clear liquid. It just won't seem to heal over. I am concerned about infection and scarring. It seemed to take off a lot of skin, and it bled in about 4 places. I have heard that ointment and keeping it moist is the best thing to do to help minimize scarring, but whenever I do this, it causes the skin to become very "goey" and soft and come off! It is freaking me out quite a bit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It must have scared the heck out of you when you fell yourself falling.
your're very lucky indeed you didn't get a sprain or any broken bones.
what I would do in your situation is make an appt. with your primary doctor to have a look at and he or she can reccomend what type of medication for it.
you do not want it to get infected which it's already sounding like it is.
