Me and a friend decided to do something really stupid whilst intoxicated by alcohol, we decided to put our hand of a Candle blocking off the air supply and only take your hand off until the flame went out or you would lose the bet!

So doing this i woke up the day after with a blister the size around a 2pence coin or 1cm x 1cm. It burst, and with lots of fluid coming out of it, well all the dead skin has come off it now, and it is now infected i cleaned it with water frequently but still it is infected, 2 days on iam getting feverish, hallucinating and waking up dripping in sweat!

Would Penicillin be the right method to treat this or would i be best going to the doctor?

you should go to the doctor....it is not good when the blister bursts open....plus you need to keep the burn moist....i think that is what they told me....i always had to have cream on mine and keep it covered.....i mean you could try the antibiotic but you really need to get some kind of burn sav and keep it covered....take the dressing off 2-3 times a day and wash it with gentle soap and water.....you do not want the skin growing back to become hard....i had a burn that got infected when i was like 9 and i had to take over 1000 mg of antibiotics per day...it si serious

ah damn seems iam 2 late, its now scabbed over and it seems hard, the infection seems to have settled and the pain has pretty much gone unless i prod at it or remove the scab!

Since i had it i used anti-septic wipes and cleansed it often, so i guess i just leave it now until its fully healed and most likely left with a huge scar on my hand
