Broken toenail

Hi guys,

Recently I broke the nail on the big toe on my left foot. The toe cracked into 2 pieces one about 2/3 of the nails size which lifted mostly off the toe however it was still attached at the base, the other 1/3 stayed attached. There was some bleeding initially but it stopped pretty quickly and it wasn't anything major.

I was wondering if anyone has any advice, so far I've wrapped it up in the hopes that the nail will heal back onto the toe and I am replacing the bandage each morning and disinfecting it.
The nail seems to have re-attached it'self but I'm no expert on the matter so I can't be sure.
I'm going to go the local medical centre on Monday about this but if there's any advice you could offer in the meantime or any warnings that would be great. Thanks.
