gun shot injury

i was shot wit pump action that uses pallets(cartridge)3yr ago,and the doctors here in Nigeria told me that they don't remove pallet cause its spread allover my arm.

So we are talking about a shotgun? Lots of little tiny pieces of metal?

Sometimes it is best to leave them there, rather than go digging. There could be dozens of them.

Did they at least do an x-ray, to check on the location of the pellets?
