Broken Metacarpal

I broke my right hand pinky metacarpal just behind the knuckle. I chose not to go to a doctor and just dealt with it. It has now been 2 weeks since the break and the swelling is gone. Problem is that with the swelling gone i can see that the break did not heal properly and the bone is actually now shifted above my knuckle. <hindsight kicks in> So yesterday i went to a physician and got x-rays taken, need to wait a couple days for him to get back to me. What are they going to do to me?!? There is no scissoring, and i can move the pinky almost as much as usual. Can't quite touch my palm anymore. But there is a bone approximately 1/8in. above my knuckle that used to be almost flush. The thought has crossed my mind to "correct" this myself but the remaining bone one knuckle is minimal and i have done enough damage already.
