The urologist has me on macrobid low dose during BCG treatment.

Drugs.com said the antibiotic may make the BCG treatment less effective.

Any thought on this??

I have read that it takes several BCG treatments to trigger enough of an immunological response to knock out the cancer cells.
It seems logical that an antibiotic regimen would hamper this response.

What is your doctor's rationale?
