Urethra/bladder sensitivity, please help? - Cancer: Bladder Message Board

Hi,I am very confused as to what is wrong with me. I have urethra mild pain/sensitivity. I had my first bladder infection nearly three months ago now, which was bad, but was cleared with antibiotics. Two weeks after the infection i had this mild sebsation pain coming on which has stayed with me ever since. I had a my urine tested, but it came back negative. I have no serious pain, no frequency, no urgency, just this pain sensation, which i can feel on my urethra. Im not sure if this is related to the infection or not? I am generally healthy, never suffered bladder/ urethra problems in my life before. i suffer various allergies though but i dont think that my bladder and allergic reactions can be connected? These symptoms get worse before my period, and mainly come on during the afternoon/evening? i am so confused, please can anyone shed some light? i am 30, by the way, thanks - Sally.

I've never heard of this, but it raises a red flag in my mind. I don't want to scare you, but you really should get it checked out with a urologist. Constant pain is sometimes an indication of cancer...I'm not saying that is what it is, but it is definitely something you want to have ruled out as a possibility. Please get it checked out by a professional as soon as you can.

I seem to have the same syptoms and my doctor just keeps giving me antibiotics.....

She doesn't seem to have a clue what is going on.

Hi Sally,

I have the exact same symtoms and I was about to call my doctor but, before I do, I was wondering if you had figured out what was wrong with you. Please let me know as I am in pain a lot and need to do something about this. I am curious about one thing...what is your age? Are you possibly peri-menopausal? Here is my theory...that something has changed in my body, maybe something shifted and is putting pressure on my bladder. Let me know. Cheryl
